About Us
Our journey so far

We win when
you win the order
My job is not to make ORKAY famous. It is to make ORKAY the easiest name for you to sell.
When you put our tile in front of a client, you are putting your own reputation on the table. The sample has to match the shipment, and the name on the carton has to help you close the deal — not leave you explaining it.
So we stay close to your market: what is moving, what is not, and where the price needs to sit. Then we shape the range, the pricing and the support around it. The goal is simple — every year, ORKAY should be easier for you to sell than the year before.

The date we gave you
is the date it ships
Every promise you are given — a date, a quantity, a shade — is only as good as the operation standing behind it. That is what this desk is answerable for.
Most of it is coordination: planning talking to the kilns, the kilns to dispatch, dispatch to the people who answer your calls. In step, you never notice them. Out of step, you find out as a delay you have to explain to your own customer.
Good operations are invisible. You should only ever see the result — a straight answer quickly, an order that moves when we said it would, and a commitment honoured.

You should not have to
change supplier to grow
Growth here has never meant simply making more tile. It means that the supplier you commit to today is still the right one in five years.
The industry does not sit still — new technology, new formats, tastes that move market by market. Our job is to have the answer on your shelf before your customer asks for it, and not a year after your competitor had it.
So we invest in ideas and in capability, but only where it changes something you can use: a range you can sell, a lead time you can quote, a reason for a client to choose you. Innovation that does not reach you is decoration.

The second container
matches the first
You find out about a bad tile long after we do — on a floor, in front of a client, with the boxes already open. So it cannot be something checked at the end of the line. By then the tile has already been decided: in the body, the glaze, the firing.
We run several categories across several lines, so the work that matters is repeatability. Materials, finishes and firing parameters get studied until the shade you approved is the shade in the second container, and in the tenth.
Technology gives us the capability. What reaches your customer comes from the attention paid after that — and the only question we ask the teams is how this cycle beats the last one.

Seven units,
one standard
Seven production units on one Morbi campus — press, glaze line, kiln and polishing, running a combined 60,000 square metres a day across four active lines.

Seven units, one standard
Every range is pressed, fired, polished and packed on lines we own, inside one gate — so shade, calibre and batch all answer to the same people.

SACMI CONTINUA+
The slab line runs SACMI’s CONTINUA+ system — one of only 60–70 units in use worldwide — pressing 800×2400 and 800×3000 porcelain slabs.

Design studio
Surface design and reference matching across a catalogue of 4,000+ designs, with full-size slab samples on racks beside the lines that fire them.

Five quality gates
Pre-production control, in-process inspection, pre-packing checks, packing and pallet verification, pre-shipment release — between raw material and released shipment.
